Highland Autumn (2015)

Autumn may traditionally be the season of “mists and mellow fruitfulness”, but here, whilst we’re very good at the former we don’t do mellow so well: the year tends to transition with a series of bangs, from Indian Summer to monsoon rains and thereafter into blizzards and the Long Dark of a northern winter. But pick the right time of day, catch the stillness of the morning and it’s probably the most beautiful time of year for photography.
